JS Jackson Supplies offers this “Modern Look” Double Curved Shower Curtain Rod. It’s a little different than most of the other rods.

Instead of both rods going all the way to the wall and seating in the mounting bracket only the outer rod mounts into the brackets. The inner rod joins to the outer rod as it angles away from the wall.

Because there is a straight section that angles away from the wall, there is not as much curve or radius to this rod.

This rod is for 60 inch shower enclosures.  (That is equal to 5 feet. Or 1.52 meters.) Which is pretty standard. So it will fit for most situations.

Will It Fit My Shower?

Saying it is an “adjustable” rod is not quite as accurate as in the other ones featured here. This rod can be adjusted between 57 and 60 inches. so there is a bit of adjustability.

If you have to cut this rod to fit, it would have to be cut out of the middle. The rod comes attached to the mounting brackets. You would need to make a clean cut and then debur the rod so the connecting piece can fit to join both sides.

Something To Consider With A Double Curved Shower Curtain Rod

It’s a good idea to put a little thought into what installation involves. Putting up a new double curved shower rod is not the hardest job. But like anything else, it needs to be done correctly. This will help you get the best and most long-lasting results.

I’ll give you a quick heads up on a few things to consider.

1. MEASURING: I’ve always thought that measuring is the most important factor. At least it’s the most important first step. If your measurements aren’t correct none of the other steps will matter. Your new curved shower rod won’t fit. New shower curtain rods will contain installation instructions. They will give some guidance on getting the best measurements. And you can read my Installing A Curved Shower Rod guide.
2. TOOLS: Having the proper tools always makes a job easier. You should at least have a flat and phillips head screwdriver, a level, a drill (cordless works best), pliers, measuring tape, paper and pencil. A couple of these may not be needed, but it is always best to be prepared. Also handy to have will be an awl and a hammer. This is all covered in my Installation Guide as well.
3. CHOOSE THE CORRECT FINISH: This one may vary in importance. It depends on you and your preference. But it is good to consider. You may not think it matters very much. But try to think about a few months from now when you lived with it for awhile. Double curved shower rods come in a variety of finishes. Be sure that you’ve chosen the correct color or finish when you enter your order.
4. NEW ACCESSORIES: You do not need a special shower curtain with a curved shower curtain rod. But the length and width do matter. The curve of the rod will cause your liner to come up farther on the side of your tub. Be sure you currently have 2-3 inches of space on the bottom of your liner. The shower curtain and liner should be 6-12 inches wider than the length of your shower curtain rod.
   You might want to consider new double shower curtain hooks. this will allow you to hang the curtain and liner on one rod. Gliding shower curtain rings will make sure that they don’t scratch your new rod.

Here is my usual disclaimer:

I’m not trying to convince anyone they need to buy new accessories in addition to the double curved shower rod. My purpose is to let you know that often times, due to the nature of the curved rod and the individual application, you may need to purchase a couple extra things. And if you’re informed about it up front you’ll be better prepared and can factor it into your budget. And consider the extra time involved in getting these items. If your current shower curtain and liner don’t work with your new rod, you might be with out a shower for a couple days!
